Sinopec Pipeline Storage & Transport Company (Sinopec PSTC) has been working with the police since the beginning of this year to crack down oil theft from the holes drilled in the pipelines. With a number of oil theft gangs and suspects arrested, the fight has effectively reduced the oil thefts and the stolen crude. As of May 25, the number of oil theft cases along the Sinopec PSTC pipelines fell by 76.4% over the same period of last year.
